1. Your Consent to This Privacy Policy
By using the Platform or otherwise providing information to me, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Platform. You may withdraw your consent by requesting deletion of your information or exercising your rights as outlined in Section 9 (Your Choices).
2. The Information I Collect
The Platform allows me to communicate with readers interested in my blog and related content. It also provides opportunities for you to engage with me and receive additional information. To provide these Services and operate the Platform, I rely on information provided by and collected from users. This information includes:

2.3 Anonymous Information
I also collect, process, and use information that does not identify you or your devices, including Personal Information that has been anonymized by removing identifying fields or aggregating it so individuals cannot be re-identified (collectively, “Anonymous Information”). This may include demographic information, statistical data (e.g., page views), and general tracking information about how the Website is used.
2.4 Blockchain Information (if applicable)
If the Services involve blockchain technology (e.g., connecting a digital wallet), I may process certain personal data in a blockchain data record. This “Blockchain Information” is stored immutably and may include:
- The public address of your blockchain-compatible digital wallet,
- Corresponding data related to transactions involving non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or cryptocurrency, such as purchase price, date, and time.
I may use pseudonymization to reduce risks to individuals. Note that blockchain data cannot be changed or deleted, which may limit your rights (see Section 12).
If Automatically Collected Information, Anonymous Information, or Blockchain Information constitutes personal information under New Zealand law, I will treat it as Personal Information.
3. How I Collect This Information
I collect the above information through the following means and technologies:
3.1 Registration
To provide Services such as email newsletters (if applicable), I collect your name and email address when you register or subscribe.
3.2 Payments (if applicable)
If you order services or products through the Website, I may require payment information via a third-party payment processor. This may include your credit/debit card number, expiration date, purchase amount, and billing/shipping address. I do not have access to full payment details.
3.3 User-Generated Content
You may engage with the Platform by submitting comments or other content (“User-Generated Content” or “UGC”). If you include Personal Information in UGC, others may read, collect, or use it. I am not responsible for Personal Information you choose to include in UGC.
3.4 Contests, Special Offers, and Surveys (if applicable)
If I offer contests, special offers, or surveys, I may use your name and email address to facilitate participation.
3.5 Beacons and Tags
The Platform may use beacons, pixel tags, or other technologies to track usage, measure effectiveness, and send readable email messages. These provide Anonymous Information, Automatically Collected Information, and sometimes Personal Information.

3.10 Other Technologies and Data Sources
I currently do not augment Personal Information with third-party data sources. If I do so in the future, I will comply with this Privacy Policy.
4. How I Use This Information
I use the collected information for some or all of the following purposes:

- To monitor, prevent, and detect fraud,

I may share information with affiliates (entities closely related to me) who are bound by this Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to this sharing.
5.2 My Service Providers
I engage third parties to perform functions such as hosting, analytics, email distribution, and payment processing. These providers may access Personal Information, Automatically Collected Information, or Anonymous Information as needed. Examples include:
- Providers for email distribution or UGC management,

I require these providers to protect your information contractually.

5.4 Questions of Harm; Legal Process
I may disclose Personal Information or Automatically Collected Information to third parties (e.g., law enforcement) if necessary to:

- Protect my rights or property,
- Prevent fraud or misuse,

- Cooperate with authorities.
I will limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary and notify you where required by law.
5.5 Transfer of the Platform

I use physical, technical, and administrative security measures to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

I retain Personal Information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, or address legal risks (e.g., statutes of limitations). Retention periods depend on my relationship with you and applicable laws.

To review, correct, or update your Personal Information, or request an electronic copy, contact me at danielsnellnz@gmail.com. Provide your full name, email address, and specify your request. I will verify your identity using the email address on record.
9. Your Choices
- Unsubscribing from Email: To stop receiving emails, follow the “unsubscribe” instructions in the email or contact me at danielsnellnz@gmail.com.
- Preference Signals: I do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals unless required by law.
- Analytics and Advertising: To opt out of interest-based advertising, visit https://www.aboutads.info/choices or https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/. For Matched Ads, contact me to opt out of sharing your hashed email address with ad partners.
10. Advisory Regarding Participation by Children and Teens
The Platform is not directed toward children under 13. I do not knowingly collect or store Personal Information from individuals under 13. If you believe I have collected such information, contact me at danielsnellnz@gmail.com.
11. Relationship to Terms of Reference; Incorporation of Terms of Reference
This Privacy Policy must be read alongside my Terms of Reference. If there is a conflict, this Privacy Policy prevails.
12. Notice of Privacy Rights under New Zealand Law
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have rights including:
- To know what personal information I collect, why, and how it is used or shared,
- To access your personal information,
- To request correction of inaccurate information,
- To request deletion or restriction of processing (subject to legal limits, e.g., blockchain data).

If blockchain technology is used, your rights may be limited as blockchain data cannot be altered or deleted. In such cases, I will exclude your data from future blockchain records where possible.
13. Notice of International Data Transfers
I am based in New Zealand, but some service providers may operate internationally (e.g., in the United States). By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information outside New Zealand, where data protection laws may differ.
14. Third-Party Sites
The Platform may link to third-party websites or services. I am not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before interacting with them.
